Connecticut Firefighters Respond to Crash

Three people were killed in the crash last week.

East Lyme, and Waterford Fire Departments responded to I-95 for the report of a crash involving numerous vehicles.

On arrival, they found approximately five cars involved and two tractor trailers were involved.. Three people were killed in the wreck that closed the interstate for many hours.

Firefighters used foam as one tractor trailer was leaking flammable liquid.

Sub Base Fire Department Haz-Mat Team was started, along with several mutual aid fire departments. Tankers from Old Lyme, foam unit from Pfizer Fire and Norwich Fire.

Connecticut State and East Lyme Police were on the scene as well. .

Waterford supplied several engines and four ambulances, a heavy rescue while East Lyme supplied several engines, a heavy rescue, and two ambulances.
