First responders in Camden, N.J. were called to a dwelling fire that trapped a man on the roof.
It happened Tuesday, Sept. 18.
A full box assignment was dispatched to the scene, along with an extra engine company.
Firefighters with Engine Company 9 were first in, and reported heavy fire showing on the roof of a row of eight two-story brick dwellings. About 25 feet of the roof was burning, and firefighters used a 1 and three-quarter inch line to fight the blaze.
A group of roofers had been working at the time of the fire, and the trapped victim was a worker who was not able to escape in time.
Some firefighters quickly knocked the blaze down while others worked on rescuing the man.
The victim was not injured.
The fire was under control in 15 minutes. It is being investigated by the Camden City Fire Marshal Office.
