Louisiana RV Fire Burns On Top Of Broken Gas Line

July 11, 2004 W.P.F.D.#6 responded to Pigotts Crossing for a report of a RV fire and a natural gas line involved.

July 11, 2004 W.P.F.D.#6 responded to Pigotts Crossing for a report of a RV fire and a natural gas line involved. Upon page out E-61, E-66, T-62, B-63, and NorthShore EMS Unit 07 responed. Upon arrival of E-66 there was a fully involved RV was sitting on top of a broken natural gas line and a live power line was down.

Washington Parish Sheriff's Deputies setup a perimeter for the fire dept. E-66 attack team was limited to fighting the fire because of the live power line. After the power was killed to line crews were able to cap and seal the broken gas line and extinguish the fire.

One civilian was burnt over 25% of his body and was transported to the hospital.
