July 6, 2007

The Camden City Fire Department was dispatched to the 2800 block of Pleasant Avenue for a dwelling fire. The first arriving firefighters reported a two-story single family dwelling well involved.

The crew of Engine 9 arrived and secured the water supply. Firefighters aboard the truck took division "A", while those on Engine 11 secured a secondary water source.

Within 30 minutes, the porch collapsed. The fire was brought under control a short time later. There were no injuries.

Pleasant Rescue Company 1 provided additional staffing, and the crew of Ladder 1 was assigned FAST duties.

The fire remains under investigation
