North Carolina Firefighters Quell Flames

Firefighters encountered heavy smoke showing from the front of the structure.

Gastonia firefighters responded to a structure fire on Gaston Avenue on Thursday, Oct.30. Firefighters encountered heavy smoke showing from the front of the structure.

The fire was quickly extinguished limiting damages to $12,000-$15,000. The Gastonia Fire Task Force is investigating the fire.

The Gastonia Police have a suspect in custody.
