New York Firefighters Battle House Fire

The house was located in a remote area.

In Duanesburg, N.Y.,fire destroyed a year-old residence on Schoonmaker Road after 10 p.m. April 14. Firefighters from nine volunteer companies helped fight the blaze at the house that was fully involved upon arrival.

Firefighting efforts were slowed by the remote location. They spent more than four hours fighting the blaze.

There were no injuries. The fire is under investigation.
