p>At 2:25am on February 23rd Jacksboro Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire in the 900 blk of West Mesquite. Chief Jennings was the first to arrive on scene. He reported single story wood frame residence with heavy fire from the D side of the house. Engine 1 arrived on scene ,and due to high winds and heavy fire conditions, Engine 1 set up ground monitor for structure protection. Engine 11 arrived on scene and started initial attack.
The home was occupied at the time of the fire, and all occupants escaped with out injuries. Red Cross was notified to assist family. Fire is still under investigation. Jacksboro received mutual aid from Perrin and Bryson Volunteer Fire Departments. All units cleared the scene at 6:42am.
