Crews in Middletown, Delaware responded to a fatal house fire December 12, 2006 at 10:44 p.m. Firefighters from Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown, Odessa Fire Company, Townsend Fire company, Station 24, Port Penn Fire Company and Smyrna Fire County were dispatched to Silver Lake Drive.
It took firefighters over four hours to control the fire. Firefighters searching the residence found one person dead after a secondary search of the residence was complete.
