South Carolina Rescuers Extricate Driver From Single-Vehicle Crash

On June 6, 2004, the Horry County, South Carolina Rescue Squad was dispatched with the Conway Fire Department and Horry County Medic 29 for a one vehicle accident with entrapment.

On June 6, 2004, the Horry County, South Carolina Rescue Squad was dispatched with the Conway Fire Department and Horry County Medic 29 for a one vehicle accident with entrapment.

Rescue 2 arrived in 7 minutes to find one car in between 2 trees with the driver trapped against the passenger door. Personnel on scene used special care in stabilization as the ground was very wet from earlier rain.

Rescue 2 placed most of their tools in service to gain access to the unconscious patient. Once removed, the patient was transported by Medic 29 to Conway ER as a trauma patient.

Conway Fire Capt. P. Williams had the command.
