November 22, 2006 -- Milton station 85 and Lewes station 82 Fire Departments were dispatched to a reported house fire on Hudson road west of Delaware rt 1. Command 82 first on scene reported heavy fire on side A & B
First arriving units from 85 and 82 quickly put several 1 3/4" hand lines in service including two 1 3/4" CAFS lines for interior attack from engine 82-5.
Firefighters struggled with the blaze in 40 mph winds but were able to bring the fire under control within 40 minutes and with out injury to any firefighters. The residents of the home were away on vacation. The fire is still under investigation.
