On Friday November 17th 2006 the Warren Fire Department was dispatched to reported smoke coming from a commercial building at 12813 E 8 Mile and Fairfield at the Vacant "Mr. Enclosure"Building.
Upon arrival of Engine Co. 2 a 2sty on Westend 80 X 600 Commercial Building with heavy smoke showing. Upon arrival of the Battalion Chief he requested a speical call for Warren Tank Arsenal (TACOM) FD for a 2nd Platform.
Upon size up of building and fire conditions a 2nd Alarm was transmitted, bringing mutual aide from the Cities of Centerline, Eastpointe and Roseville to the scene with and engine and manpower. And additional mutual aide from St Clair Shores and Sterling Heights for station coverage.
The fire was contained to the west portion of the building aprox 80 X 100. The fire was brought under control using 2 ariel platforms, 2 deck gun's, several handlines and master stream.
