A tanker laden with nearly 9,000 gallons of gasoline left U.S. Highway 285 in rural Park County, Colorado. It overturned and burst into flames. The trailer came to rest upside down off the roadway in a small pond. The driver, who either crawled from the truck or was ejected, was found dead near the blazing wreckage.

The accident occurred Thursday, May 20 near the town of Bailey, Colorado. Bailey is a rural community approximately 45 miles west of Denver in mountainous terrain. At approximately 1:00 p.m. the Park County Sheriff
