East Longmeadow, Massachusetts Firefighters Respond to House Fire

On May 8, 2004 at approximately 3:50 smoke detectors alerted two adults and 3 young children to the fire to a fire in their balloon frame construction home.
On May 8, 2004 at approximately 3:50 smoke detectors alerted two adults and 3 young children to the fire to a fire in their balloon frame construction home.
All escaped without injury, however, one dog and two cats were lost in the incident.
The fire is believed to have started on the rear porch. The fire burned on the exterior of the structure for some time before activating smoke detector. The house was a total loss.
