At approximately 1:04 AM, Chester City, Pennsylvania Fire was dispatched for a MVA with entrapment on I-95 northbound at the Kerlin Street exit. Police first on scene reported heavy entrapment.

Upon arrival, Chester fire units found a Chevy S-10 pickup truck embedded into a construction trailer that was parked along the exit.

Chester originally dispatched tower 82 and squirt 81, however on arrival they requested company 52 for an additional heavy rescue.

The crews worked for more than an hour to free the victim. The crews made extensive use of heavy timber and rams for stabilization of the construction trailer. Firefighters used chainsaws and sazalls to remove the trailer from around the vehicle.

After an extensive extrication, the 41-year-old male patient was removed and transported to Chester Crozer Medical Center where the patient was pronounced dead.
