Buckeye Valley Fire District battled a large brush fire in the Gila River southwest of Phoenix on May 7-10.

The fire consumed about 1000 acres of brush. A local dairy had to be evacuated.

Members of the Buckeye Valley, Buckeye Town, State Land, BLM, Goodyear, Apache Junction Fire Depts assisted

Along with the Del Rio and Prescott Hot shots.
