On June 22, members of the Salisbury Fire Department's Helicopter Emergency Aerial Tactical (HEAT) Team assisted the Maryland State Police with the training of a new pilot assigned to Trooper 4.

Ground and in-air evolutions based on insertions and extractions were conducted at the Salisbury-Wicomico Regional Airport.

The team's first activation was back in March. Aboard Trooper 4, they were dispatched to Point No Point in the Chesapeake Bay to hoist an injured crew member off a barge battered by waves. A rescue vessel from St, Mary's County was able to reach the barge and remove the patient successfully.
