On Sunday, October 8th at 7:49 a.m. a flatboat tow truck heading eastbound on Route 50 crossed over the grass median and collided with a Chevrolet Suburban heading westbound near White Lowe Road. Fire and EMS personnel from Hebron, as well as EMS from Salisbury and the Maryland State Police "Trooper", responded to the scene.
Both the driver of the tow truck and driver of the suburban were transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center. The driver of the suburban was extricated from his vehicle; however his injuries were believed to be not life threatening. The Maryland State Police had traffic stopped in both directions on Route 50 for several hours.
