Maryland Units Responded to a Vacant House Fire

Units from Anne Arundel County MD responded to a vacant house fire in the early morning hours of 10-08-2006 at approx 6:20 am. Fire occurred in the Odenton area of Anne Arundel County at the intersection Nevada Ave and Hale St. Engine 283 AOS to find heavy fire from all sides of a vacant two-story dwelling.

Crews attempted an interior attack but were withdrawn by command due to the structure being vacant and heavy fire involvement. Crews had the fire contained to structure of origin within 15 minutes in a defensive operation. Odenton VFC Asst.Chief Hodgson had command. The cause is still under investigation.
