Canada Firefighters Battle Flames, Temps

Fire destroyed two buildings in Ste-Anne-des-Lacs.

The alert was given very early this morning and as crews were on the way to Ste-Anne-des-Lacs in the village of the same name, a fire broke out in a building that served as the hardware store.

The firefighters of the municipality requested assistance from fire department of Prevost, Mille-îles, St-Sauveur, and Ste-Adèle.

The fire was in progress and attacked a second building of the same company.

About 35 firefighters had to brave the freezing cold trying to identify the flames..

The two buildings affected are total loss.

The police investigation of fire safety in Quebec have shown up earlier this afternoon.
