Responding to an odor of smoke at an intersection, Fort Worth firefighters found an historic home on fire shortly after midnight on Sept. 22.
Heavy smoke was pushing from the two-story, 101-year-old Dillow House on E. Rosedale St. around 12:30 a.m. and crews began attacking the fire.
The fire quickly spread and a second alarm was called by 1 a.m. to bring additional units to the scene.
Firefighters surrounded the home and began defensive operations due to structural collapse concerns.
