One person suffered serious burns in a Nov. 22 house fire on Osceola Mills.
The Columbia Fire Company of Osceola Mills just returned from a missing person search when they were alerted for a dwelling fire with a burn patient.
Upon arrival of Ambulance 1351, they found heavy fire from a window on the B side of the first floor. They confirmed one patient with burns and that nobody was inside and began treatment and transportation of the victim.
Engine 22-2 arrived on scene, established a water supply, and made an aggressive interior attack on the first floor.
Firefighters found that the fire had extended through the walls and into the attic. Fire was seen coming from an an attic window.
Evacuation tones were sounded and firefighters exited the structure.
The fire was contained within three hours.
