Firefighters from 20 departments were summoned as fire ripped through a tire warehouse in Torrington? on April 3.

Shortly after crews arrived, the warehouse was fully involved and heavy smoke could be seen for miles.

Area schools and homes were evacuated.

Twelve hours after the blaze was reported, crews remained on scene dousing hot spots.
