Photo Story: Portland Firefighters Tackle House Fire

Portland firefighters ventilated the roof of the home to help contain the fire.

Portland firefighters were dispatched to a residential fire at 2066 NE 143 Avenue around 3:45 p.m. on April 11.

They arrived to find smoke and flames coming from a second story window and within minutes, the fire spread into the attic and to the back of the house.

Fire crews had to attack the fire from the inside, while simultaneously knocking the fire down at the back of the house. Firefighters had to cut several holes in the roof.

Gresham Fire also responded on this incident.
