Photo Story: Fire Consumes Chicago Garage

Two engine, two trucks, a squad and a chief responded to a Chicago garage fire.

Chicago firefighters were unable to save a garage on the city's South Side on May 25.

Engines 116, 101, Ladder 41, Tower Ladder 39, Squad 5 and 5A and Battalion 19 were dispatched to the 1600 block of West 61st Street just before 1 p.m.

When Engine 116's crew opened the door of the station, they could see the column of smoke.

The garage was fully involved and collapsed 10 minutes after crews arrived.
