Rescue ropes were used to lower a worker who was injured on a grain bin on July 21.

Rescue ropes were used to lower a worker who was injured on a grain bin on July 21. 

The worker was using a pressure washer when the basket he was in failed and it tumbled into the water. The worker was suspended with his safety harness and landed on a platform.

Portland Fire & Rescue firefighters assessed the victim while the technical rescue team set up a lowering system to remove him from the platform.

The man was transported to the hospital with an arm injury.
