Truck Hauling Uranium Hit in Tennessee

A tractor-trailer carrying uranium fuel rods was struck from behind by another vehicle on Interstate 40 at U.S. 64 on Tuesday night, but Memphis Fire Department officials say no dangerous materials were spilled. The truck was hit at about 7:50 p.m., according to Memphis police, who responded to the scene along with the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the city Fire Department and the Shelby County Fire Department.
