Fla. Crews Stabilize Home After Crash
FRUIT COVE, Fla. --
A driver slammed his car into a home in Fruit Cove Wednesday evening.
Police said a 2002 Toyota convertible struck a corner of a house in the 1300 block of Loch Tanna Loop off Durbin Creek Road.
They said the driver, 80-year-old Manuel Charco of Jacksonville, was taken to Baptist South Hospital with minor injuries.
The house had major damage to the corner and the garage as a result of the crash. Fire Rescue teams were at the scene to stabilize the home.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
The driver was charged with careless driving.
