WATERLOO, Neb. --
Rescue crews were dispatched to the Elkhorn River Monday morning after a group of people floating down the river in two farm stock tanks capsized.
Investigators said eight people were in the tanks with they hit a tree in the river north of Waterloo. The tanks flipped, throwing everyone overboard.
Water rescue crews from several different agencies responded to the call along the rain-swollen Elkhorn.
The Douglas County Sheriffs Office confirmed everyone made it to the shore safely.
