MANCHESTER, N.H. --
State police said a man on his way home from Motorcycle Week on Tuesday ran into some dangerous trouble.
The motorcyclist lost his prosthetic leg on I-93 southbound in Manchester, just a few miles from exit 5 in Londonderry.
State police said its incredible he was able to safely glide to a stop and there were no accidents.
Manchester firefighters searched the side of the interstate and found the prosthetic.
They were able to reattach it and send the motorcyclist on his way home to New Bedford, Massachusetts.
Emergency workers said because the man didn't need any medical care they never got his name.
They escorted him to meet up with his friends who rode with him home to Massachusetts.
