Mo. FFs Use Aerial for Roof Rescue

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A man was taken to a hospital after being injured on the roof of a building at 34th Street and Troost Avenue Wednesday afternoon. The call originally was described as an electrocution. KMBC's Dan Weinbaum reported that the man was part of a painting crew. The crew was apparently moving ropes or cables when one of the lines became energized. Firefighters used a big ladder to get to roof of five-story building to bring man down. He was conscious when he was taken to the hospital.

A man was taken to a hospital after being injured on the roof of a building at 34th Street and Troost Avenue Wednesday afternoon.

Power was knocked out at the building. Utility crews were forced to shut off power to a small surrounding area.
