Neb. Firefighters Rescue Man From Blaze

OMAHA, Neb. -- Firefighters rescued a man from a deck of a burning duplex early Sunday. Crews said they saw smoke and flames coming from the unit in the 6400 block of South 118th Plaza when they arrived. They said they were able to get the fire under control in about 15 minutes, crediting a firewall with keeping the flames from spreading. "We made a very difficult knockdown," said Omaha Fire Department Battalion Chief Joe Mancuso. "Very high heat, very heavy smoke conditions."
