Several apartment residents are out of their homes, after fire broke out in a three-story building on Tuesday morning.
One resident had to be rescued from a second-floor balcony of the building on Tompkins Avenue in Madisonville. He was treated at the scene for minor smoke inhalation, but no one had to be taken to a hospital.
Firefighters said they had to knock a hole in the roof to get to the fire, which extended into the building's attic.
