North Carolina Firefighters Rescue Man Pinned In Car

Stanly Co., NC -- A man who had to be cut free after a fiery car accident in Stanly County suffered only minor injuries.

The wreck happened on Highway 52 at Dennis Road just south of the town of Albemarle.

Eyewitnesses say a car crashed into a pickup truck. The car then hit a dirt embankment and flipped several times.

Three passengers were able to get out. The fourth, Hubert Lindsey, was trapped inside.

Firefighters had to put out the flames before they could cut Lindsey free.

Lindsey was flown to Carolinas Medical Center, but doctors say his injuries are not life-threatening.
