A Louisville technical rescue team responded to a football field Thursday evening. But, it had nothing to do with the game.

A two-year-old girl fell into an abandoned cistern as she ran on the grass. A coach eased himself down into the 18-foot hole realizing he too may need help getting out, according to WDRB.

Crews set up a hoist using ropes and pulleys. Watch rescue video

As the two emerged from the hole, the crowd applauded and cheered.

They were taken to a local hospital for check-ups. However, officials said they were not hurt.
