PASADENA, Md. (WUSA9) -- Officials say a 10-year-old girl has been rescued after falling into a 30 foot well.
Anne Arundel County Fire officials say that it happened just before 4 p.m. in the 800 block 207th St. in Pasadena.
The technical rescue team was called to the scene and officials say it took 20 firefighters 30 minutes to get the child out of the well.
Because of the nature of the fall and concerns over hypothermia, the girl was flown to the pediatric emergency room at John's Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. She was conscious and had non-life threatening injuries, officials say.
Officials say it's unclear if the child lived at the address where the well is located. Anne Arundel County police or the county zoning officials will determine if there is a penalty for leaving the well uncovered.
