Two Rescued from Trench in Maryland

The Montgomery County trench rescue team worked for three hours to free the men.

Two construction workers were trapped in a trench for three hours Thursday evening.

A trench rescue team from Montgomery County worked for several hours before freeing the two, who were conscious during the operation.

The incident occurred about 5 p.m. in Potomac. They were freed about 8 p.m.

They were taken to a trauma center for evaluation.
