Canines were called to a Dallas parking garage after a partial collapse Friday afternoon, but no victims were found.
The collapse began on the top level of the seven-story garage and broke through all levels. Several cars fell into the hole created by the collapse.
After an exhaustive search by firefighters and search dogs, crews began leaving the scene, Dallas Fire Rescue Spokesman Jason Evans told the Dallas Morning News.
Officials are unsure if heavy rains contributed to the collapse and building inspectors are going to begin their investigation Saturday morning.
Neighbors said the area where the collapse began was being used to store dirt and landscaping equipment while a pool was being renovated on top of the structure.
