A woman stuck in a chimney in San Fernando had to be rescued on Tuesday night, August 5, authorities said.
The woman, whose age was given as about 30, became trapped about 3 feet down in the chimney or exhaust flue on top of a small municipal outbuilding at the City of San Fernando Recreation Center, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
She was pulled out by fire personnel using a rope system.
Video captured by ABC7 shows firefighters using what appears to be a rope or strap tied around her hands and attached to a fire truck ladder as they lifted her out of the chimney.
She was then secured to a gurney and lowered to the ground by the ladder.
Details about how she became trapped were not immediately released.
The San Fernando Police Department is investigating how she wound up inside the chimney.
