Six people were found dead Wednesday night following an accident at a dairy farm in north Colorado.

Firefighters were dispatched to the farm near Keenesburg, a rural community about 40 miles northeast of Denver, around 6 p.m. local time for a “confined space rescue,” the Southeast Weld Fire District said in a press release.

The responding crews “took appropriate precautions to enter the confined space” but found six people had died. They were able to recover their bodies.

The fire department did not disclose how the victims became trapped, the type of space nor how they died. CBS News Colorado reported the victims were all men who may have been exposed to gas.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration said it’s investigating the incident and conducting an inspection.

There’s currently no criminal investigation underway, according to the Weld County Sheriff’s Office.
