Two Trapped after Semi Slams into PA Home

A tractor-trailer slammed into a Maxatawny Township home Monday night, causing extensive damage while trapping the driver and a home occupant.

A tractor-trailer crashed into a building Monday night in Maxatawny Township, Berks County dispatchers said.

The 7:55 p.m. crash occurred at Church Road and Route 222/ Kutztown Road and involved initial reports of someone trapped in the building, dispatchers said.

Kutztown firefighters, state police from the Reading barracks and haz-mat personnel are on scene as of 8:55 p.m.
