Watch CO Firefighters Rescue Injured Worker from Trench

Helmet camera footage shows South Metro firefighters performing a high-angle rescue to pull out a worker who had fallen into a construction site trench box in Parker.

Colorado firefighters rescued an injured worker from a construction site trench box Tuesday.

South Metro Fire Rescue crews responded to the incident at a construction site in Parker, the department stated in an online post. When firefighters reached the scene, they quickly began prepping for a high-angle rescue.

The worker was secured to a backboard, and an aerial was used to hoist out of the trench box. He was then taken to the hospital with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening, according to the department.
