Watch CA Crews Airlift Woman who Fell in Ravine

California firefighters airlifted an elderly woman who fell down a steep ravine Tuesday.

The woman was hiking with her husband along a trail in Laguna Niguel at around 9:30 a.m., the Orange County Fire Authority stated on social media. When firefighters on the ground couldn't reach the woman, a helicopter was called in, and two rescuers were lowered into the ravine.

After her condition was assessed, the woman was strapped to a stretcher, and she was lifted out of the ravine by the helicopter. The woman then was flown to the trauma center in Mission Viejo, according to the fire authority.
