Los Angeles firefighters performed a rope rescue after an injured man was located at the bottom of a cliff in San Pedro late Tuesday night.
A woman was able to walk out of the rocky area known as Sunken City but the man could not.
Bad weather and visibility grounded the helicopter so technical rescue teams performed the operations, KTLA reported.
“Firefighters and Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) on the ground performed a land-based technical rope rescue to raise 1 patient at base of rocky area known as Sunken City,” fire officails reported
The man who required the rope rescue was taken to a local trauma center in unknown condition.
