New York firefighters rescued a 10-year-old girl who was trapped under a vehicle that had struck her while she was riding her bike last week.
Yonkers Fire Department crews responded to an accident Tuesday in which a young girl on a bike was pinned beneath a minivan, according to an online update by the Yonkers Uniformed Fire Officers Association. Firefighters used the TL9 bracket with the Hurst tool to free the girl from the vehicle.
"Due to the companies’ speed, professionalism, and skill in extrication, only minor injuries were reported to the young girl," the fire officers group stated.
Along with the Yonkers Fire Department, members of Empress EMS and the Yonkers Police Department also responded to the incident.
