San Francisco firefighters pulled a person from the waters around the Presidio early Wednesday after the individual was caught in the rocks.

The person had called 9-1-1 at around 1:30 a.m. after becoming trapped by the rocks around Battery Crosby, a turn-of-the-century military facility built to protect the underwater minefield around the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, KTVU-TV reports. Four people were initially thought to be missing at the time, and the fire department called it an active cliff rescue in a social media update.

An online video from the scene posted by the department shows firefighters pulling the person to a rescue boat. Rugged surf and waves can be seen lashing the shoreline during the rescue.

Details weren't released about how the individual ended up in the water.
