Illinois rescued a woman from her home Friday after heavy rains flooded her rain Friday.

The woman was one of two people who were rescued from their homes after central Peoria experienced a large amount of flooding because of severe weather, the Journal Star reports. Between four to six inches of rain fell in northern Peoria and Woodford counties, according to unofficial reports by the National Weather Service.

Peoria firefighters waded through at least 3 feet of water during one of their rescues. One man told the Journal Star that he 2 feet of water in his home, while another man said his house was gone.
