A Thursday night storm that produced 2-4 inches of rain caused the Hackensack River to flood into the streets of New Milford.
FOX5 NY captured rescues and evacuations Friday morning with rescue boats going door-to-door to pull people out of their homes.
On Harvard Street, it came up to about 2 to 3 feet high.
CBS2 NY reported that 12 people were rescued after high waters filled the streets.
Other areas expected to flood include Bergenfield, Bloomfield, Elizabeth, Hackensack, Newark, Paterson, Passaic and Wayne.
