Baltimore firefighters rescued a driver after her vehicle sunk after plunging into the Inner Harbor.
The woman was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, WBAL reported.
Video showed crews bringing her to the surface.
The vehicle went into the water near the National Aquarium.
Kalsang Dolker, a tourist from New York, said another witness told her the car was speeding before it "flew off the pier" on the aquarium side of the harbor and plunged into the water, according to WJZ.
Dolker said the trunk popped open as the vehicle sunk.
