Atlanta Firefighter Seriously Injured in Fall

An Atlanta firefighter was seriously injured in a fall from a ladder early Friday.

He was listed in serious condition at Grady Memorial Hospital, according to news reports.

The firefighter, a sergeant, fell about 25 feet, Capt. M. McDaniel told reporters at the Atlanta Journal and Constitution.

The fire was reported just before 4:30 a.m. at the Shamrock Gardens complex damaged eight units. There were no civilian injuries.
