Two Ohio Firefighters Injured Battling Grease Fire

WALBRIDGE, Ohio -- Two people were burned and two firefighters suffered minor injuries Saturday evening as result of a fire broke out in a propane-fueled grease fryer used to cook food inside a detached garage at 5910 Clover Lane in Lake Township. Lake Township Fire Chief Todd Walters said Carl Glashauser was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center for treatment. An unidentified neighbor also suffered minor burns to his arm, the fire chief said. One firefighter suffered a cut finger and another injured his ankle, he said.

The two-car garage and a 2001 Mustang inside were destroyed. The fire was reported at 6 p.m.

Perrysburg Township Fire Department provided mutual. The adjacent house, owned by Katherine Glashauser, suffered minor exterior damage, the fire chief said.
